About the Owner:

Rebecca Kringer

I've been successfully treating families for head lice since 2007.  Before moving to New Smyrna Beach in 2024, I have treated thousands of families in the Chicago area. Experience is key when it comes to effective and efficient treatments.  Lice salons have a revolving door of technicians who come and go.

I work efficiently to keep your cost low as I treat numerous family members at once.  I will provide you with useful tips when it comes to cleaning your home and preventing future reinfestations.

I like to keep things simple for busy families!  Please don't hesitate to call or text me today! (312) 351-1920

CHECKS AND TREATMENT

Why make things complicated?

I charge by the hour, not by the head, with a minimum 1 hour charge per visit.

I will check everyone in your family and treat those who have head lice. If your family does not have, your visit will be quick. If anyone is positive for lice, a treatment for one person usually takes around an hour or so. In families where 2-4 members have, you are often completely free and clear of lice in 1.5 - 2.5 hours, as not everyone will have the same level of severity. Of course, every case is different.

I charge a small travel fee for anyone 15 away or further from Venetian Bay, in New Smyrna Beach.

FAQs

How do you get lice?

Head-to-head contact is the most common way to get head lice. Sitting on the same fabric furniture, rugs/carpet, and bedding also spreads lice. Although not as common, it can also be spread from sharing brushes, hats, and clothing. Kids almost always get head lice first, likely from school, playdates, or other activities with other children.

THE PROCESS

I do a pesticide-free combing treatment to both check and treat lice.

When checking, this is the most effective way as you can often miss new cases when looking with the naked eye, even when using magnified glasses or lamps.

I use pesticide-free enzymes when treating a confirmed case.

Can my pets get lice?

The lice humans get only survives on human blood. Your dogs and cats will never get lice from you, no matter how bad your cases are.

Can my children get re-infested?

I will provide you with proven ways to help prevent reinfestation during our visit. It would also be wise to let your child's school and other parents know about your case. From my years of experience, schools are very careful not to mention who has the confirmed case.

Testimonials

  • Rebecca helped my family on numerous occasions navigate annoying head lice. She was calm, cool, and collected while she helped educate us how to handle our daughter’s head lice scares. She told us how to clean our house/sheets/etc and what to do to keep our daughter head lice free. She was also always available for questions and educated us on how to do our own lice checks. Rebecca saved us so many times! She is the best and most knowledgeable in her field!

  • I’m writing this recommendation letter on behalf of Ms. Rebecca Kringer. Ms. Kringer has visited our PreK - 8th grade school annually for a decade to provide lice checks for our student body. She is reliable, timely, and respectful of student privacy and confidentiality. She is able to complete our students’ checks quickly and thoroughly, and notifies our administration should we need to contact their parents. Ms. Kringer makes a process that can be intrusive and nerve wrecking, comfortable and calm for our students and staff. We appreciate her efforts over the years, and highly recommend her to other institutions seeking her services.
